If you are looking for the proper bearings types and part #'s to order for your Levin spindle, you have come
to the right place. All Levin ball bearing style spindles are covered below. The older cone style spindles
such as used on the older Levin lathe open style headstocks are not covered in this section or the Precision
Machine Spindle Rebuilding educational video series.
Levin Accessory Spindle Bearings
The Levin Accessory spindle is the smallest and most common spindle type made by Levin and is used on many of
their lathe attachments such as the Milling, Grdining and Micro Drilling attachments. This spindle is also
used on the Levin Drill Press.
Unlike the other Levin spindles, this accessory spindle does not use a Deep Groove bearing so it only uses
a Duplex Pair of Preicsion Angular Contact Bearings.

Levin Open Style WW & D Headstocks
The Levin Open Style Headstock uses a Duplex Pair of Precision Angular Contact Bearings and a single Precision Deep Groove Bearing. This section applies to both the 8mm (WW style) and 10mm (D Style) collet Levin Spindles.
